Q For your discussion in this course, each unit, I want you to discuss your easiest and hardest problem in the sections covered that unit. Give some tips on how to understand and handle the hard problem types. If you have not figured out how to do the hardest problem in the section, then give a tip on how to do one of the easier problems. You will post this to the discussion forum for that unit. That way your classmates can benefit from your tips, too, and can provide comments if they wish. When submitting problems that you found difficult or easy, you cannot say, “All problems were difficult” or “All problems were easy”. Pick a specific problem type that you thought to be the easiest and hardest problem to understand during that unit. You might be surprised to find out that not everyone will choose the same problems! Here is an example of a typical student’s post: For this unit's homework, the easiest problem for me was finding the slope of a line using two points. You just have to plug it in the formula right and that’s it! The hardest problem for me was doing the application problems for linear equations. The best tip I can give in doing these problems is to go slowly through the word problem and pick out all the numbers and what they represent. I then write them all down on the paper and try to figure out how they are all related to each other. For example, Dan needs to memorize words on a vocabulary list for German class. He has 16 words to memorize, and he is one-fourth done. How many words has Dan memorized so far?
